Esto es increible, y hablando hoy en el TWITTER que los japoneses han llevado su obsesión por los robots a niveles muy retorcidos (lean aquí), pues esta otra noticia que leimos hoy en internet nos llevo de lo ridículo a lo sublime.
Según un articulo del Examiner.com un grupo llamado Green Tokyo Gundam Project se atrevió a construir una versión tamaño real, escuchese bien 1:1, de un RX-78 de la serie GUNDAM para celebrar el 30 aniversario de la serie que se estreno en 1979 en Japón, esto fue el año pasado 2009, pues bien, la cosntruccion de este monstruo mecánico se comenzo en Marzo del mismo 2009 y se develo la estatua en Julio, en el parque Shiokaze cerca del centro de TOKYO. Les mostrariamos algunas imagenes pero creemos que el video lo ilustra mejor.
Impresionante, lo único que le falta es ser manejado por un piloto adolescente japones y que nos ayude a combatir contra el Principado de Zeon. Los japoneses tienen un arraigo muy profundo con los robots y representan una parte muy importante de su cultura después de la segunda guerra mundial, sino, como en vez de hacer estatuas de algunos de sus proceres o héroes harían una estatua tamaño real de un robot de ficción de un dibujo animado... Dios los bendiga, como seria el mundo sino existiera Pepegan.... digo los Japoneses.

Desgraciadamente, la estatua solo estuvo por unos meses en exhibicion, la desmontaron en el mes de Septiembre del 2009. Pero no se preocupen pues si tienen en su itinerario de viaje pasar por Shizuoka en el medio oeste de Japón al sur de Tokyo, pues podrán ver la nueva versión del RX-78 erecto ahí en todo su esplendor y esta vez con un sable laser en su mano derecha que de noche se ilumina.
Esta segunda locación donde sera exhibida esta estatua tamaño real de un Gundam se abrió al publico este mes de Julio del 2010, pero no hemos podido encontrar las fecha hasta la cual estar expuesto ahí, así que mejor sera que se apresuren si quieren verlo...
